About the Role
The Technician, Container Shop is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing compactors and other stationary equipment. This role involves work on hydraulics, basic electrical systems, and welding fabrication to ensure safe and productive operations. Key duties include performing inspections, diagnostic tests, preventative maintenance, and repairs on various compactors and equipment. The technician reads electrical and hydraulic schematics, diagnoses and fixes single- and three‑phase AC issues, and handles high‑voltage electricity, as well as troubleshooting hydraulic problems. Additional responsibilities cover assisting with equipment installations, performing welding and fabrication as needed, maintaining daily job efficiency, completing accurate paperwork, and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring
Minimum requirements are experience in equipment maintenance and repair, plus welding or fabrication skills. Core shop responsibilities include opening and closing the shop, tracking container stages, managing daily sheets and monthly inventory, overseeing supplies, parts, and team quality, coordinating scrap removal, forecasting budgets, and building vendor partnerships for scrap, compactor movement, and spill cleanup.
