About the Role

The Area Sales Manager will develop strategic partnerships and be directly responsible for product orders and support contracts in the UK. The role owns the relationship between Drayton and customers to sell heating controls effectively, maximise revenue potential, and achieve individual sales targets through planning, implementation, monitoring, control, and corrective action. Success in this position requires identifying and cultivating new channel partners such as installers, distributors and OEMs, while expanding existing accounts and leveraging cross‑selling opportunities across the group. The manager must act as the primary interface with customers, provide proactive problem solving, deliver advice through site visits and training, and supply market intelligence to internal teams. • Identify and develop new channel partners (installers, distributors, OEMs) to grow heating‑controls sales. • Expand existing accounts by launching initiatives and increasing share of wallet. • Establish commercial terms (pricing, conditions) and enable cross‑selling with internal teams. • Meet annual sales and pipeline targets while delivering accurate forecasts. • Serve as primary interface to ensure customer satisfaction through proactive support. • Advise customers via site visits, training, demos, and RFP responses with cross‑functional collaboration. • Share market, competitor and customer intelligence with internal stakeholders. • Collaborate with sales team to win national opportunities. • Leverage HVAC market knowledge to drive results. • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and margin goals. • Utilise CRM systems for pipeline management. • Lead sales “push” into channel partners and “pull” into contractors. • Work with cutting‑edge technology to shape business transformation. • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts autonomously. • Pursue professional development in high‑tech solutions. • Participate in a diverse, inclusive workplace with Disability Confident support.
