About the Role

The Engineering Department Manager – Arabic Speaker will provide management and direction for one engineering discipline or a major section within a larger discipline, potentially overseeing a program with a total installed cost exceeding $1 million. The role involves coordinating staffing, quality, and schedule performance across all engineering disciplines required for the program. Key duties include reviewing and approving staffing budgets and assignment schedules, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and monitoring discipline quality and progress. The manager works closely with Project Managers to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, or productivity issues, establishes standards and procedures, and leads recruitment, performance evaluation, and employee development. • Review and approve discipline staffing budget estimates and assignment schedules. • Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel. • Forecast and report staff needs for each project. • Manage all engineering and design efforts for assigned disciplines on large programs. • Coordinate discipline staffing requirements across the program. • Monitor quality and progress of engineering work to meet production requirements. • Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, or productivity issues. • Develop and enforce standards, procedures manuals, and departmental improvements. • Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, and employee development. • Provide orientation on company policies and handle corrective actions or terminations. • Support pre‑contract and business development activities as a technical consultant. • Ensure discipline performance stays within authorized overhead budgets. • Participate actively in the Quality Improvement Program.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited Western university and possess at least 18 years of experience in engineering management on large‑scale projects. Experience directing multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical) and proficiency in both Arabic and English are required, with Saudi nationality preferred. • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited Western university. • Possess at least 18 years of engineering management experience on large‑scale projects. • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical). • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Arabic and English. • Saudi nationality preferred.
