About the Role
The Area Sales and Retention Manager is responsible for maintaining and generating profitable revenue by leading a team of sales and account management representatives. This management role supports the development and execution of the Area's Sales and Marketing Plan to improve revenue quality through strategic pricing and service decisions. Participation in sales incentive and recognition programs is available after completing required training and receiving Area management approval. Key duties include managing the proactive account retention program, reinforcing corporate retention strategies, and motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer service. The manager oversees call activity, pricing improvements, service upgrades, and agreement conversions while maintaining a robust training, coaching, and mentoring program for retention personnel. Collaboration with the Area Sales Manager on price‑increase strategies and effective use of WM sales tools are also essential. • Lead sales and account management team to achieve revenue targets • Manage proactive account retention program and assign responsibilities • Coach, train, and mentor retention personnel • Oversee call activity, pricing improvements, service upgrades, and agreement conversions • Utilize and train team on WM sales tools (proposal, pricing, database) • Analyze lost business trends and implement corrective actions • Collaborate with Area Sales Manager on price‑increase strategies • Recruit and interview qualified retention staff • Ensure high customer satisfaction and resolve escalated issues

The position operates primarily in a professional office environment and offers a hybrid work model with a base salary range of $109,340 to $133,320, plus eligibility for incentive pay.
