About the Role

The Senior Project Engineer – Electrical will support the Lead Electrical Engineer to deliver the Alkimos Desalination Project safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality. Reporting to the IEC Manager, the role coordinates technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, procurement and quality control activities according to ACCIONA standards. • Lead safety and environmental inspections, workshops, and permit reviews. • Manage procurement activities, including RFQs, budget analysis, vendor selection and risk evaluation. • Develop and review construction methods and workpacks to drive innovation. • Plan, schedule and monitor project milestones, mitigating delays. • Oversee construction engineering, QA monitoring and risk management on site. • Apply digital engineering tools for planning, design review and coordination. • Lead engineering teams, set performance goals and support wellbeing. • Ensure quality control by closing Lots, NCRs and implementing ITPs. • Provide technical guidance across all project stages using digital platforms.

What You Bring

Candidates must demonstrate strong safety and environmental awareness, expertise in procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and construction engineering, as well as proficiency with digital engineering tools. Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and holding relevant engineering qualifications (Chartered or Registered Engineer) is required. • Demonstrate strong competence in scheduling, critical path analysis and resource management. • Possess proven experience delivering multi‑phase infrastructure projects. • Hold relevant engineering qualifications and professional accreditation (Chartered or Registered Engineer).
