About the Role
The role involves assisted installation, commissioning and verification of fire‑alarm equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, supervising electricians, completing verification reports and acceptance tests, producing As‑Built drawings, identifying code deficiencies, traveling within the district, performing small programming modifications, and helping develop training programs for staff and customers. What You Bring
Candidates should have a college diploma in fire protection, electrical/electronic or equivalent experience (or be pursuing one), a Canadian Fire Alarm Association certification, ability to program basic micro‑processor operations, proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, basic troubleshooting skills, strong technical communication, ability to lift 40 lb and work at heights, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer‑service orientation. • Hold a college diploma in fire protection, electrical/electronic or related field (or be pursuing). • Possess Canadian Fire Alarm Association certification. • Program basic operations on micro‑processor‑based fire‑alarm systems. • Use Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Word proficiently. • Communicate technical solutions clearly and concisely. • Maintain a valid driver’s license. • Demonstrate strong communication and customer‑service skills.
