About the Role
The ITS Engineer will support the Resident Engineer in all administrative, technical, and operational aspects of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) across major infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include overseeing design input, specification compliance, deployment, testing, and integration of components such as RVDS, Bluetooth sensors, CCTV, DMS, and related systems. Key duties involve reviewing and recommending approval of functional specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and test plans, as well as coordinating installation of ITS devices, fiber networks, and power systems. The role also requires routine site inspections, witnessing factory and site acceptance tests, maintaining accurate documentation, and preparing punch lists for handover. • Support and supervise ITS design, specification compliance, installation, testing, and integration. • Review and approve functional specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and test plans. • Coordinate installation of ITS devices, fiber networks, and power systems across projects. • Conduct routine site inspections to verify workmanship, safety, and compliance with approved designs. • Oversee factory and site acceptance tests, OTDR fiber tests, communication and power tests, and reliability testing; close punch lists before handover. • Maintain accurate records of approvals, changes, correspondence, and photographic documentation. • Assist the Resident Engineer with variations, claims, as‑built verification, O&M documentation, and final system commissioning. • Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and facilitate coordination with other disciplines. • Inspect safety conditions, report violations, and monitor corrective actions. • Prepare meeting minutes, correspondence responses, and comprehensive photographic records of construction activities. • Verify and approve as‑built drawings and maintain status logs for all ITS works.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least seven years of engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, computer, civil engineering, or a related field. Required expertise includes ITS technologies, fiber‑optic and IP communications, power distribution, cybersecurity, and traffic engineering concepts, along with strong design skills in CAD, GIS, and knowledge of NTCIP, ONVIF, PoE, SNMP, and VLANs. • Minimum seven years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. • Strong knowledge of ITS technologies, fiber‑optic networks, IP communication, power distribution, and cybersecurity. • Proficiency in CAD, GIS, NTCIP, ONVIF, PoE, SNMP, VLANs, and ability to interpret civil, electrical, and mechanical drawings. • Excellent coordination, stakeholder‑management, and written/verbal communication skills. • CCNA certification and tunnel ITS/SCADA deployment experience are a plus.
