About the Role
The Project Manager will work closely with Regional Building Engineering Services Business Group Managers and the global client management team, overseeing multidisciplinary design teams from conception to completion and traveling to client sites or other HDR offices as needed. • Direct and coordinate single- or multidisciplinary teams throughout project lifecycle. • Manage all aspects of complex small-to-medium or routine large projects. • Produce and coordinate several small-to-medium projects concurrently. • Establish and maintain client relations; participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders. • Coordinate staffing and workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables. • Track project finances and adjust effort to stay within budget and schedule. • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews. • Implement QA/QC procedures. • Supervise large project staffs and mentor less-experienced Project Managers. • Travel 10-20% (up to 25%) to project sites, including international locations. • Control project budget, scope, and schedule; handle forecasting, invoicing, and contract management. • Create proposal content including scope, schedule and budget.

What You Bring
HDR is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in client development and delivery of large, complex projects across sectors such as healthcare, civic, sports, transportation, aerospace, and commercial real estate. The ideal candidate has proven success guiding projects from planning and pre‑design through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning, while also developing and securing work from a global client base to enhance HDR’s reputation. • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Newforma, Procore, BIM360 Docs/Field, and Bluebeam. • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and designers. • Professional Engineering (PE) license. • PMP certification. • Master’s degree. • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills. • Ability to travel frequently (~50% local, <10% regional). • Experience in healthcare, science & technology, data center, aviation, mass transportation, or aerospace projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • Minimum 7 years related experience. • At least 2 years project management experience. • Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) for the job location. • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project (Access a plus). • Demonstrated leadership skills.
