About the Role

The position involves leading client‑facing commissions, enhancing Planning & Scheduling processes, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, and contributing to business generation, resource planning and strategic growth of the team while maintaining high client satisfaction. Leadership responsibilities include senior line‑management, talent development, recruitment and training of project‑controls capability, and driving adoption of new processes through national and regional Communities of Practice. • Manage client‑facing commissions and high‑value, complex projects. • Improve Planning & Scheduling processes to increase efficiency and client benefits. • Develop interdisciplinary relationships that add value for clients. • Drive business generation, resource planning, and strategic growth for the Planning & Scheduling team. • Ensure project scope delivery and maintain high client satisfaction. • Lead senior line‑management activities, including career development and team coaching. • Build project‑controls capability through recruitment, training, and mentorship. • Implement and embed changes to Planning & Scheduling processes across the organization. • Participate in national and regional Communities of Practice and performance reporting initiatives. • Provide expert analysis to senior stakeholders to support decision‑making. • Train and coach clients and junior team members on Planning & Scheduling practices. • Lead national and regional initiatives aligned with strategic growth and outreach goals. • Direct Planning & Scheduling on complex projects/programmes and lead large teams.

What You Bring

The role is for an experienced Project Director in Planning & Scheduling within the Infrastructure sector, primarily based in the Midlands and Central South, with national travel expected and openness to candidates across the UK. Candidates must have deep expertise in Planning & Scheduling tools, experience interfacing with other Project Controls disciplines, a proven track record of directing complex programmes, leading large teams, and familiarity with NEC contracts; Defence work requires UK nationality and SC clearance eligibility. • Possess subject‑matter expertise in Planning & Scheduling tools and techniques. • Demonstrate experience interfacing with other Project Controls disciplines. • Deliver both delivery and transformation projects, familiar with NEC contracts. • Obtain or be eligible for SC clearance (UK nationals only) for Defence projects.
