About the Role
The Operations Manager Trainee (OMT) program prepares participants to become front‑line Operations Managers. Trainees spend most of their day in the field, interacting with frontline employees, learning to boost profitability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and team leadership. Candidates must be willing to relocate within the designated geographic area after training. • Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees. • Review best practices regularly to enhance daily performance. • Partner with drivers and technicians to develop job‑related skills. • Complete the assigned OMT training curriculum and all additional training. • Conduct coaching conversations and actively seek feedback. • Collaborate with frontline managers and senior leaders to learn day‑to‑day operations. • Develop knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety programs, operational processes, performance management, dispatch, routing, and fleet maintenance.
