About the Role
The ICT Project Manager will collaboratively manage projects under the direction of a Project Director, plan and coordinate activities and resource requirements, and ensure project artefacts are developed and approved in line with departmental policies. Regular reporting on successes and progress is required, as well as ensuring capabilities are released as planned. • Manage projects under the direction of the Project Director. • Plan and coordinate project activities and resource requirements. • Develop and obtain approval for project artefacts according to departmental policies. • Report regularly on project successes and progress. • Ensure capabilities are released as scheduled. • Maintain a Minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) and positive security clearance; ITAR compliance may be required. • Work on critical defence projects that protect Australia.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience, and have several years of ICT project management experience within a Federal Government environment. Prior experience with ITSM is highly regarded, and proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods is essential. Strong problem‑solving, analytical abilities, and a commitment to delivering strategic solutions are also required. Applicants must maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance and a positive vetting clearance as required by the Commonwealth; compliance with ITAR requirements may also be necessary. Beyond technical skills, we value a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes for our clients. • Hold a tertiary IT qualification or equivalent experience. • Possess several years of ICT project management experience in a Federal Government setting. • Experience with ITSM is highly regarded. • Proficient in both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods. • Demonstrate strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
