Senior Electrical Engineer
Design and develop high‑speed PCBs, manage layout, DFM, and cross‑functional integration.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The Senior Electrical Engineer will join the hardware team to lead complex PCB designs, emphasizing performance, manufacturability, and reliability. This hands‑on role requires deep expertise in high‑speed layout, signal integrity, and PCB manufacturing, and involves mentoring, standard‑setting, and close collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams. • Create and manage schematic symbols, footprints, and layout templates in internal CAD libraries. • Perform advanced floor planning, signal routing, and power distribution for high‑complexity boards. • Design multilayer, HDI, flex, and rigid‑flex PCBs for space‑, weight‑, and thermally constrained applications. • Define and manage PCB stack‑ups, impedance targets, and signal‑integrity constraints. • Apply best practices for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). • Execute full PCB design cycles: placement, constraints management, routing, reviews, and release. • Generate engineering documentation including ECOs, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and release packages. • Partner with PCB vendors to validate impedance models and stack‑up choices for high‑volume production. • Design and maintain cable harness documentation using Altium Harness Designer. • Conduct root‑cause analysis of PCB issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance and reliability. • Manage multiple PCB layout projects, prioritize tasks, and meet schedule and quality targets. • Track project timelines, adjust priorities proactively, and ensure on‑time delivery. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with electrical, mechanical, test, and manufacturing teams. • Maintain and evolve internal layout standards, checklists, and workflows. • Present layout reviews and document design trade‑offs and decisions. • Provide hospital indemnity, critical illness, accident, life/AD&D, and disability insurance (100% covered).
