About the Role
The Maintenance Technician assists with operations, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs across commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties. This role supports the overall functionality and safety of the facilities. Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and grounds machinery. The technician cleans, lubricates, and services pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical or hydraulic devices, and performs installation, modification, and replacement of equipment and finishes like ceiling tiles and door hardware. Emergency response, safety inspections, and operation of fire and life‑safety systems are also required. Compliance with codes, use of technology, and completion of annual safety training are integral to the role. • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, kitchen equipment, and grounds machinery. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical/mechanical devices. • Install, modify, and replace equipment and finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, and paint. • Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests. • Inspect facilities for safety hazards and perform preventative maintenance. • Operate fire alarm, fire pump, and other life‑safety systems. • Perform carpentry work and snow removal as needed. • Maintain compliance with codes, regulations, and company safety policies. • Utilize smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems. • Complete required C&W safety training annually and adhere to uniform dress code. • May work extended shifts, on‑call, or serve as the sole maintenance staff on duty.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least two years of related experience in a commercial property setting and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. These qualifications ensure a foundational understanding of building systems and maintenance practices. Technical or vocational training in areas such such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair is preferred. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record and basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word are required. The position may involve extended shifts, on‑call duties, or being the sole maintenance staff on duty. Physical demands include regular communication, computer operation, and movement around the workplace, as well as occasional reaching, lifting, and standing. Employees must be able to perform these tasks safely and effectively. • Possess at least 2 years related experience and a high school diploma or GED. • Hold technical training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. • Demonstrate basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $21.25 to $25.00 per hour, with pay determined by factors such as location, experience, and collective bargaining agreements.
