About the Role
The company is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Nevada/Utah area. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components at high‑profile sites, as well as commissioning new equipment and providing training with minimal supervision. Core duties include inspecting equipment for performance, identifying faults, adjusting and repairing or replacing defective parts, testing repaired gear, completing accurate time records, technical and failure reports, and parts lists, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives while staying current with industry and product developments. The technician must build strong relationships with internal and external customers, ensure compliance with Sandvik, customer, state, and federal safety policies, and maintain customer satisfaction. Work is performed both underground and on the surface, requiring comfort with those conditions, and involves roughly 25 % travel with a company vehicle provided. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical components of underground mining equipment. • Commission new equipment and provide on‑site training with minimal supervision. • Inspect equipment, diagnose faults, adjust, replace defective parts, and test for proper operation. • Document work via time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated on industry best practices. • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and Sandvik’s ISO standards. • Travel up to 25% of the time, using a company‑provided vehicle; work both underground and surface.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields and have at least seven years of industry experience; diesel and high‑voltage electrical experience are a plus. Required skills include safety awareness, excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, strong written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics, all while conforming to ISO standards. • Hold a technical certification or diploma in mechanical/electrical fields and at least 7 years of industry experience; diesel and high‑voltage electrical experience preferred. • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and blueprint reading.
