About the Role
The Associate Field Engineer role supports ALC’s business through field commissioning of custom building automation systems. The position is an entry‑level field engineering opportunity that emphasizes self‑motivation, attention to detail, and customer focus, with projects increasing in difficulty to develop troubleshooting skills. • Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems using Direct Digital Control technology. • Provide effective solutions for system issues and deliver turnkey projects for small to mid‑level scopes. • Ensure proper operation of controls, sensors, and software, including loading software and configuring trends, alarms, and reports. • Implement time‑management strategies to maintain customer satisfaction. • Communicate and document project status and details for the customer. • Deliver site‑specific training to owners and operators on the complete system.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least a High School Diploma or GED, be able to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift up to 50 lb, and hold a valid driver’s license that can be insured by the company. Preferred qualifications include a degree or technical certificate in HVAC, Controls, or a related field, advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and wireless networks, strong communication skills for non‑technical audiences, the ability to read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints, experience handling multiple simultaneous challenges, and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
