About the Role

The Light Equipment Operator is responsible for operating hand‑held mechanical devices on project sites, such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, forklifts, graders, drills, generators, saws and pumps. The role requires understanding and safely using all related tools and equipment while adhering to safety hazards. Work is performed in plant operations or construction job‑site environments. • Read and interpret load charts • Interpret hand signals to determine material placement • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment • Perform daily equipment inspections, check fluids, refuel, and assess wear • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring

The position demands physical capability to push, pull, lift up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), climb, balance on scaffolding, and work on uneven or adverse weather conditions, including confined spaces.
