About the Role
The Laborer performs manual labor tasks on construction job sites, delivering high‑quality work safely and productively while providing feedback to ensure needed materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, learning from others, and understanding safety hazards related to all work and tool operation. Work may occur in plant operations or construction settings. Key responsibilities include general clean‑up, site preparation, and excavation work such as digging footings and trenches. The Laborer also handles material loading and unloading, strips concrete forms, operates various power tools, sets braces to support excavations, and assists other craft workers as needed. • Perform general clean‑up and site preparation, including trench digging and rubble removal. • Dig footings and backfill using hand tools. • Load and unload construction materials. • Strip and remove concrete forms. • Operate power tools such as vibrators, compactors, jackhammers, and chipping guns. • Set braces to support excavation sides. • Assist other craft workers as needed. • Climb and balance on steel/wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds. • Work on uneven terrain, in confined spaces, and under adverse weather conditions; may require respirator use. • Maintain concentration amid distractions and work at varying tempos. • Apply decision‑making skills and attention to detail.

What You Bring
Physical requirements involve lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb), repetitive hand, arm, and leg use, hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to perform tasks ranging from sedentary to heavy work. The Laborer must climb and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds, and be capable of frequent bending, crawling, kneeling, squatting, and standing on uneven or adverse terrain, possibly wearing a respirator. Mental qualifications include effective communication with supervisors, the ability to work at varying tempos, maintain concentration amid distractions, make decisions, and remain detail‑oriented by remembering and observing details. • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb) and perform repetitive hand/arm motions. • Communicate effectively with management and supervision.
