About the Role
The Minneapolis office is seeking a Project Architect who will collaborate with Practice Area Leaders and Design Directors to develop design solutions and guide projects through construction documentation. The role requires translating architects' sketches into detailed 2D/3D models and images while researching artistic and technical issues as needed, and fostering a collaborative, mentoring environment. Key responsibilities include leading design phases from programming and conceptual design through documentation, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies, and managing construction administration and submittal reviews. The architect will also support office initiatives, learning programs, and team communication. • Collaborate on design projects across practice areas, from programming and conceptual design through documentation. • Develop detailed 2D/3D models and renderings using SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite. • Coordinate with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, and building‑envelope consultants. • Resolve complex technical and design issues while managing client expectations and team communication. • Conduct construction administration, review submittals, and select finishes for projects. • Perform zoning and code analysis across multiple jurisdictions. • Mentor junior staff and contribute to office initiatives and learning programs. • Provide professional development support including license renewal reimbursement, tuition assistance, and internal training programs.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold an accredited Bachelor of Architecture, be licensed, and possess at least eight years of architectural design experience, preferably in workplace, city, and community projects. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills are essential, along with an understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts. • Hold an accredited B.Arch degree and professional licensure with 8+ years of architectural design experience. • Prefer experience in workplace, city, and community projects and sustainable design certifications such as LEED, WELL, or Net Zero. • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, V‑Ray, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
