About the Role
The Pricing Analyst role is a permanent, full‑time position that can be based in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide. The analyst will design, maintain and evaluate pricing models for proposals, contracts and strategic initiatives, working closely with finance, operations and business‑development teams to provide financial inputs, model outcomes and support bid submissions. • Develop and maintain pricing models for proposals and contract renewals. • Analyse cost structures, labour rates and market benchmarks to ensure competitive, compliant pricing. • Produce financial inputs for commercial tenders in partnership with multidisciplinary teams. • Manage the full pricing lifecycle: requirement analysis, data preparation, outcome modelling, gate reviews and bid submission. • Deliver pricing insights and recommendations to senior leadership. • Collaborate with Business Development, Capture Management, Commercial and Program Management to align pricing with strategic objectives. • Identify pricing risks, devise mitigation strategies and communicate them to stakeholders. • Keep proposal documentation and pricing records in SharePoint and other internal systems.

What You Bring

Approximately 2,000 Australians work across the country delivering innovative engineering solutions for a safer, more secure and sustainable future. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline. • Bring 2‑5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis or cost estimation. • Possess advanced Excel and cost‑modelling expertise; experience with pricing tools or ERP systems is a plus. • Understand government contracting and cost‑estimation principles. • Demonstrate strong problem‑solving, relationship‑building and multi‑tasking abilities under tight deadlines. • Exhibit excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills; able to obtain Defence Security Clearance. • (Desirable) Familiarity with CASG/Defence/Australian Government pricing and procurement policies. • (Desirable) Experience with proposal lifecycle management and pricing compliance reviews.
