About the Role

The Process Engineering Team Lead is responsible for producing the Process Engineering deliverables required for a project or Key Indicators proposal and will carry the responsibilities of the Process Engineer. At the same time, the Team Lead manages and develops a team of GET/Junior Process Engineers as part of the Process Engineering Team. The role involves developing, configuring and optimizing process schemes throughout the facility, taking into account client inputs, product specifications and solution cost. The lead also sizes and defines process equipment and utilities for O&G facilities during proposal and project execution, performs engineering calculations, stays current with industry codes, standards, regulations and guidelines, and meets or exceeds project expectations within budget and schedule while coordinating with intra‑ and inter‑disciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include monitoring engineering performance and quality, providing feedback, supporting the Process Engineering Manager with skill assessments and individual development plans, and assisting with recruitment and technical interviews. The lead ensures that all own engineering and design work meets quality, cost and schedule requirements, and conducts process design tasks such as simulations, calculations, optimization, equipment sizing, depressurization and flare network studies for tenders and awarded projects. The position requires preparation of various engineering deliverables—process flow diagrams, P&IDs, datasheets, equipment specifications, heat‑and‑mass balances, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, control and shutdown philosophies, HAZOP action close‑outs and operation & maintenance manuals—as well as reviewing vendor and subcontractor documents for compliance. Effective and timely communication of project requirements, action requests, routine reporting and information sharing with the Project Lead Engineer is essential. • Produce process engineering deliverables for projects and proposals. • Lead and develop a team of GET/Junior Process Engineers. • Design, configure, and optimize plant process schemes based on client inputs, specifications, and cost considerations. • Size and specify process equipment and utilities for upstream O&G facilities. • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and address design challenges while adhering to industry codes and standards. • Monitor engineering performance, provide feedback, and create development plans for direct reports. • Participate in recruitment and conduct technical interviews. • Prepare and review engineering documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, heat‑and‑mass balances, HAZOP actions, and O&M manuals. • Review vendor and subcontractor documents for compliance with project requirements. • Communicate project requirements, actions, and reports to the Project Lead Engineer. • Ensure compliance with international and national standards and good engineering practice. • Support operations and site teams during pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting. • Travel as needed to meet project and business requirements. • Maintain HSSE program integrity and promote a safe work environment.
