About the Role
The pipefitter will plan, layout, and execute all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role may also involve tasks in other crafts as appropriate to training and skills, as directed by project supervision. The incumbent must be able to follow direction from a higher‑skilled worker or foreman. • Eliminate waste (waiting, rework, transport, storage, time). • Apply high proficiency in trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinates’ work, ensure accuracy/compliance, explain deficiencies, and take corrective action. • Identify improvement opportunities in tasks and methods while learning from others. • Maintain positive relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively. • Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards; use trade tools and equipment effectively. • Use telephone, computer, email, etc., on a limited basis for communication. • Move in confined, cluttered, and uneven areas. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Climb and balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.

What You Bring
This position is classified as safety‑sensitive, meaning the duties performed could affect the safety and health of the employee or others, such as operating equipment, handling hazardous materials, or working with power tools. Adherence to all safety standards and procedures is mandatory. • Use effective verbal and written communication. • Minimum experience: 3 years (Level I), 4 years (Level II), 5 years (Level III), 6+ years (Senior) in industrial/commercial construction with deep pipefitter knowledge. • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest). • Reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently. • Stooped, kneel, or bend occasionally.
