About the Role

The Assistant Facilities Manager provides comprehensive oversight of site and vendor management, client relationships, financial controls and team leadership within facilities operations. This hands‑on role balances operational oversight with strategic planning, requiring technical knowledge of building systems and strong leadership to drive performance excellence. The position manages vendors across janitorial, mechanical, electrical, HVAC and other critical systems while ensuring contract compliance and safety. The role involves a rotating on‑call schedule for client emergencies and work in varied environments such as mechanical rooms, office spaces and outdoor areas, requiring standing, walking and occasional lifting of materials. Physical inspection of building systems and coordination with fitness, food services, security and capital project teams are part of daily duties. • Manage site operations and ensure vendor compliance for janitorial, mechanical, electrical, HVAC and other critical systems. • Develop and maintain client relationships to meet key performance indicators and deliver high‑quality service. • Oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, spend reporting and processing vendor purchase orders and invoices. • Lead, onboard, train and evaluate a professional facilities team to foster teamwork and excellence. • Support implementation of short‑ and long‑term projects, innovative programs and cost‑reduction initiatives while coordinating with fitness, food services, security and capital project teams. • Handle site activities such as moves, events, safety protocols, reception services and participate in an on‑call rotation for emergencies. • Act as a JLL ambassador, upholding cultural, ethical and safety standards in collaboration with facilities leadership.

Benefits

Compensation is estimated at $80,000‑$90,000 annually, with final packages based on qualifications, location and market conditions. The position is located on‑site in Seattle, WA, and does not offer visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
