About the Role
The Regional Safety Specialist will support safety, training, and quality initiatives across operational renewable‑energy sites in a designated region. The role is key to maintaining industry‑leading safety standards, assisting site teams, and ensuring consistent implementation of corporate safety programs. Key duties include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing wind turbines, solar arrays, battery‑storage systems, and substation equipment, as well as performing electrical switching operations up to 345 kV. The specialist will inspect, test, and monitor equipment to detect abnormal conditions, support root‑cause analyses of failures, and adhere to all safety protocols while participating in emergency‑response training. Additional tasks involve maintaining maintenance documentation, keeping tools and site areas clean, and cross‑training with other technicians. • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wind turbines, solar arrays, battery storage systems, and substation equipment • Conduct electrical switching operations on equipment up to 345 kV • Inspect, test, and monitor site equipment to identify abnormal conditions • Support root‑cause analyses for equipment failures • Follow safety protocols, conduct safety analyses, and participate in emergency‑response training • Maintain documentation for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks • Keep tools, safety equipment, and site areas clean and functional • Cross‑train with other technicians and support multiple technologies as needed

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional with at least two years of safety or technician experience in the energy or industrial sector and a Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Familiarity with OSHA, ISO, ANSI, and other safety and quality standards, strong coaching, audit, and communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 40 % are required. Experience with LMS platforms, Maximo, or audit tools, Spanish or French language abilities, a valid driver’s license, and the capacity to obtain a U.S. passport are considered assets. • 2+ years safety or technician experience in energy or industrial sectors • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial technology, or related field (or equivalent) • Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, ANSI, and other safety and quality standards • Strong coaching, audit, communication, organizational, and leadership abilities • Ability to travel up to 40 % and work outdoors • Experience with LMS platforms, Maximo, or audit tools (preferred) • Spanish or French language skills are a bonus • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport
