About the Role
The Gas General Foreman leads a crew to install and repair natural gas pipelines and joint trench utilities for power and telephone, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. Responsibilities include overseeing crew safety, coordinating daily tasks, conducting inspections, handling paperwork, and communicating with customers, senior management, and other departments. • Oversee crew installing natural gas pipelines via open‑cut or directional drilling. • Obtain necessary licenses, permits and materials for each job. • Ensure project quality, standards and timely completion. • Assign daily digging and pipe‑placement tasks to crew members. • Coordinate site entry and utility locate calls. • Conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections. • Complete paperwork promptly and train new hires. • Record employee hours and submit payroll on time. • Verify utilities are correctly identified, exposed and fused. • Operate or drive equipment to support crew work. • Keep job sites clean, perform restoration and stay on schedule. • Communicate with customers and inspectors.

What You Bring
The role requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and work in all weather conditions. Employees must have clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors while performing physically demanding tasks. • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years gas pipeline construction/maintenance; 2 years supervisory experience; Class A CDL; OSHA 10 certification. • Preferred: 5+ years gas pipeline construction; Operator Qualification (OQ); Pipe fusion certification; DOT flagger certification; First Aid/CPR certification.
