About the Role
The Senior Technician – Security is responsible for high‑quality installations, testing, and commissioning of integrated security systems at customer sites. This role involves direct project involvement, from physical installation to system handover, and requires close coordination with project management and field crews. The technician also mentors junior staff, provides customer training, and ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget. • Serve as subject matter expert and mentor to assigned technicians • Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security systems including video NVR/servers, IP cameras, access control, intrusion devices, head‑end panels, intercoms, wireless devices, and switchgear • Complete projects on time and within budget • Provide system operation training to customers • Maintain detailed daily records and follow operational standards • Follow all safety rules and regulations • Verify material counts and review options • Keep job site clean and orderly • Coordinate material delivery and staging • Schedule projects with Project Management and Field Technicians • Perform shift work, work at heights, and in confined spaces as required

What You Bring
The position demands regular physical activity, including standing, climbing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights above 1.8 m, as well as occasional work in confined spaces. Use of power tools and adherence to safety standards are essential. Employees may be exposed to outdoor weather, construction environments, and moderate noise levels while traveling between job sites and occasional office work. • Uphold professional appearance and attitude • Minimum 5 years experience as Senior/Lead Technician with a security integrator and current manufacturer certifications • Experience with access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems • Valid US driver’s license with acceptable record • Ability to pass pre‑employment screening • Experience in healthcare, education, manufacturing, utilities, financial or hospitality sectors • Knowledge of video surveillance platforms such as Avigilon, Genetec, Milestone, Bosch, Axis, Hanwha, and Exacq • Knowledge of access control systems such as Lenel, Software House, Avigilon, Genetec, Identiv, Honeywell, Open Path, RS2, S2, AMAG, Gallagher, and Open Options • Knowledge of intrusion systems such as DMP, DSC, Honeywell, and Bosch • Familiarity with locking hardware including maglocks, strikes, mortise, cylindrical, and ADA applications • Skills in data terminations, field engineering/estimating, blueprint updates (Bluebeam), and construction software (Procore, Fieldwire, Smartsheets) • Experience programming, testing, and training end users on security systems • Willingness to travel out of town and obtain required vaccinations for healthcare sites
