About the Role
As the Asset Management Officer, you’ll play a hands‑on role in maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with data standards, and providing insights that drive performance across our contracts. You will source, validate, and analyse asset information, support ISO 55001‑aligned practices, and help the team make informed decisions that improve outcomes for road users and the community. Downer plans, creates, and sustains infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with customers to design, build, and maintain assets, facilities, and road networks. Its Transport & Infrastructure business delivers civil and commercial construction, sharing capabilities across regions to provide the best technical solutions for customers and communities. • Review and maintain asset data to ensure accuracy and reliability. • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support service delivery excellence. • Maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools to support decision‑making. • Support compliance with ISO 55000 principles and other relevant asset management standards. • Ensure asset data records meet data standards, contractual KPIs, and governance requirements. • Source, validate, and organise asset data from multiple stakeholders, coordinating field verification as needed. • Make a real impact on the performance and sustainability of critical infrastructure.

What You Bring
• Experience with databases and GIS tools such as Power BI, SQL, and QGIS. • Strong analytical and data‑mining skills to interpret asset condition data and identify improvement opportunities. • Innovative, solutions‑focused mindset to improve systems, data, and technology for operational outcomes. • Excellent written and verbal communication for clear reports, dashboards, and enquiry responses. • Understanding of asset management frameworks to support ISO 55001 compliance.
