About the Role

Your mission is to design and develop aftermarket offerings that keep underground mining machines operational throughout their lifecycle. You will translate machine application knowledge into reliable parts and kits that support maintenance, repair, and upgrades. Key responsibilities include designing aftermarket solutions for underground mining equipment, understanding the application of machines and their critical components such as engines, transmissions, axles, and rock drills. You will create and release parts and documentation across all systems, perform bill‑of‑materials and technical specification comparisons, and develop sub‑system kits with appropriate component selection. • Design aftermarket offerings for underground mining machines • Perform Bill of Materials (BoM) and technical specification comparisons • Develop kits and sub‑system designs with appropriate component selection • Create and release part documentation across all company systems • Provide engineering support to aftermarket teams • Use Teamcenter, NX, SAP, Adobe Illustrator, and Keyshot for modeling and drawing creation • Manage spare‑part selection, Bill of Materials handling, and item creation processes • Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to calculate designs and select components • Uphold safety, compliance, and work independently on multiple projects, including site visits

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering and has 3‑4 years of mechanical design experience, preferably within Sandvik or a related heavy‑industry sector. Required technical expertise includes proficiency with Teamcenter, NX, SAP, and authoring tools like Adobe Illustrator and Keyshot, as well as experience in spare‑part management, Bill of Materials handling, and item creation processes. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and calculation skills, along with solid knowledge of engines, transmissions, axles, and rock drills, are essential. Effective verbal and written communication, teamwork with global stakeholders, and a commitment to safety and independent project execution are also expected. • Communicate effectively with global teams and maintain collaborative relationships
