About the Role

The Senior Transmission Permitting Specialist will join the Environmental Permitting & Planning team to assess and permit power transmission systems, ensuring compliance with NEPA and handling due diligence for renewable energy, transportation, and other energy projects across Texas. This hybrid role can be based in Dallas, Austin, Houston, or Baton Rouge. • Manage a portfolio of multiple client projects. • Deliver assigned revenue through flawless project execution. • Lead and contribute to key pursuits and wins for the team and region. • Achieve planned profit margins. • Complete projects without write‑downs or multiplier erosion. • Oversee projects involving Risk Triggering Factors (RTF). • Mentor and support team members across multiple assignments.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, planning, biology, or related field. • 6+ years managing permitting and environmental impact analyses for high‑voltage transmission, renewables, or linear infrastructure. • Ability to travel for agency/client meetings and field kickoff/audits. • Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. citizenship. • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferred). • 10+ years of relevant experience with deep knowledge of Texas and other state requirements (preferred). • Experience with NEPA, ESA, and CWA permitting (preferred). • Proven staff management and mentorship experience (preferred). • Strong relationships with agencies, utilities, and energy companies; ability to market and win work (preferred). • Leadership in proposal development and competitive bid pursuits (preferred). • Ability to manage complex interdisciplinary projects, budgets, schedules, and client interfaces (preferred).
