Aligning employee needs with HDR’s goals and values, you will champion a preventative, forward‑thinking employee relations approach that enhances the employee experience, fosters trust, and reinforces why HDR is a great place to build a career. • Guide escalated employee relations issues, including disciplinary action, performance management, and conflict resolution. • Conduct thorough investigations of employee complaints and serious policy violations promptly and fairly. • Assist with legal and compliance matters such as lawsuits and audits. • Advise on reductions in force and terminations in partnership with HR and management. • Provide guidance on complex ADA accommodation requests. • Support employee relations initiatives aligned with HDR policies and business objectives. • Monitor hotline case tracking for timely entry, updates, and closures. • Track and analyze employee relations data to identify root causes and develop preventative training solutions. • Apply critical and strategic thinking to drive successful employee relations outcomes.

What You Bring
We are seeking an Employee Relations Manager who understands the technical foundations of employment law and believes that strong relationships, trust, and proactive support enable employees and teams to thrive. The role requires deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment statutes combined with analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to translate complex information into practical guidance for both employees and leaders. • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field. • Minimum eight years of progressive employee relations experience. • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP) preferred. • Strong knowledge of labor law and HR best practices. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills. • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; experience with data‑analysis tools. • High level of discretion handling sensitive and confidential information.
