About the Role
The Corporate Accountant applies GAAP to analyze financial data, reconcile statements, prepare journal entries, assist in budgeting, and generate standard accounting and financial reports for management, supporting the organization’s financial integrity and decision‑making. • Analyze financial trends and present performance metrics • Provide monthly consolidated P&L and balance‑sheet analysis for management • Prepare balance‑sheet account reconciliations • Coordinate payroll activities with the PEO • Record journal entries and maintain GL sub‑ledger ownership • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and audit documentation • Compile monthly management reports with variance analysis and narratives • Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities • Lead or contribute to departmental projects • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls • Execute GAAP‑compliant monthly close deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) • Coordinate quarterly audits and testing with internal and external auditors

What You Bring
• BA/BS required; Accounting or Finance degree preferred • 1-4 years general accounting experience, corporate experience preferred • Familiarity with MRI software • Experience with financial controls and auditing processes • Knowledge of fair housing and local real‑estate laws • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (advanced preferred) • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Detail‑oriented with ability to meet deadlines and multitask • Analytical thinker who seeks root causes • Adaptable to dynamic, changing environments
