About the Role
The Overhead Doors & Docks Technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as routine and on‑demand services on commercial doors across multiple facilities. The role requires strict adherence to established processes, a focus on safety, and delivery of quality work that meets contractual and regulatory requirements. • Perform work according to established processes and practices • Comply with internal and external environmental, health, safety, and fire protection requirements • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on commercial doors and hardware • Provide observations, identify deficiencies, and suggest enhancements or repairs • Respond to routine and on‑demand service requests • Troubleshoot and resolve commercial door and hardware issues • Repair, replace, and install door hardware components • Record resolution data in maintenance logs and ensure quality and contract compliance • Track, monitor, and report maintenance work status; initiate approval documentation as needed • Ensure work complies with corporate and legislative policies, procedures, and guidelines • Maintain assigned tools and arrange for repair or replacement • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical door systems • Communicate effectively for data relay, feedback, and clarification

What You Bring
• Be on‑call and available to respond to emergencies • Minimum education: high school diploma; trades training or certification is an asset • 3–5 years of commercial door maintenance and repair experience • Canadian Door Institute Certification is an asset • Adhere to and execute processes and practices correctly • Strong troubleshooting and resolution skills for door issues • Demonstrate a client‑service orientation with high urgency

Benefits
The position may be on‑call and requires the use of personal protective equipment to respond to emergencies. It is a regular full‑time union role offering an hourly rate of $38.10.
