About the Role

The Framework Director (Education) will act as the single point of contact for Department for Education (DfE) regional and programme managers, supporting project delivery teams at key gateways and providing consistent oversight from inception through the defects liability period. Key responsibilities include overseeing DfE framework schemes, managing the bid pipeline, attending bidders’ days, briefing regional bid teams, coordinating consultants and supply‑chain partners, delivering workshops and training, and producing regular performance reports and presentations for DfE senior stakeholders. • Serve as single point of contact for DfE regional and programme managers. • Support project delivery teams at key gateways and monitor performance against DfE framework requirements. • Provide oversight, direction and governance for DfE framework schemes from inception through the defects liability period. • Lead bid management activities: attend bidders’ days, brief regional teams, and oversee competition responses and SPM processes. • Coordinate with consultants, designers, and supply‑chain partners to ensure consistent approach and quality. • Deliver regular framework workshops, training sessions, and lessons‑learned reviews. • Produce monthly scheme‑specific reports and quarterly presentations for DfE regional heads. • Drive continuous improvement of bid processes, commercial strategy and value‑for‑money outcomes. • Contribute to education sector strategy, marketing events and the development of new opportunities. • Lead and manage individuals and teams, both directly and indirectly, in remote and self‑managed settings. • Build effective internal and external relationships and influence senior stakeholders. • Implement the Galliford Try Standardised School model and improve supply‑chain pricing and reliability.
