About the Role
The intern assists accountants with ensuring client contractual billing requirements are met, processes vendor and subcontractor invoices, and guarantees that lien waivers, contracts, and insurance documents are in place. Additional duties include supporting the monthly close, handling audit requests, facilitating data entry for project invoices, and performing administrative tasks related to invoice processing. • Assist accountant with client billing and accounts receivable compliance. • Process vendor invoices and maintain up‑to‑date accounts payable for projects. • Handle subcontractor invoices, submit lien waivers, and verify contracts and insurance. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Respond to internal and external audit requests. • Enter project‑specific vendor data and prepare multi‑project invoices for posting. • Perform invoice‑related administrative tasks (vendor setup, tax reporting, collect tax‑exempt certificates). • Compile supporting documentation for Turner owner payment applications. • Provide periodic progress reports to supervisor. • Apply academic knowledge to real‑world finance tasks while adhering to company policies.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited four‑year college or university, preferably majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least one year of coursework or equivalent experience. Desired qualities include strong interpersonal skills, leadership or volunteer experience, eagerness to learn Turner’s finance strategy, independent and team work capabilities, and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. The position requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs and ladders, negotiating construction sites, and occasional lifting of heavy objects. The work environment includes exposure to construction hazards, noise, weather conditions, and moving mechanical parts, with reasonable accommodations available as needed.

Benefits
