About the Role

• Act as the prime Engineering and Programme interface on behalf of Component Design • Own and deliver validated Technical Component Designs for Gas Turbine and Naval Packages • Manage safety aspects, applying HS&E policy with continuous improvement • Interface with commodity groups and external supply chain for design, manufacturing, and subsystem integration • Provide programme and technical leadership to the Work Package team, ensuring compliance with Engineering Function policies • Maintain a programme ensuring activities are fully compliant with RRMS • Develop and communicate plan and budget, managing costs and resources to meet delivery timelines • Implement effective Risk Management and Project Gated Review processes for the package • Collaborate with the Defence Delivery Task Force to support delivery priorities and escalation routes • Ensure appropriate resources are deployed to meet programme commitments • Communicate confidently to engage, influence and align stakeholders across engineering, commodity groups and supply chain • Lead, develop or coach an engineering team to deliver through others

What You Bring

Successful candidates will hold at least a degree, have domain knowledge in component engineering within aerospace, defence or regulated manufacturing, and understand product change control, APQP and lifecycle management. They must demonstrate project‑management, risk‑management and systems‑approach experience, strong stakeholder communication, and a proven record of leading or coaching engineering teams. • Hold at least a degree-level qualification • Possess domain knowledge in component engineering within aerospace, defence, manufacturing or similar regulated environment • Understand Product Change Control, PCB, Technical Review (DTA), APQP and Product Introduction Lifecycle Management • Demonstrate project management experience in planning, budgeting and schedule control • Exhibit engineering and technical competence for decision‑making on complex packages • Experience applying a systems approach (e.g., Robust Design lead, Black Belt) and detailed component design
