About the Role

The coordinator will plan, implement, and supervise VDC workflows using technology platforms such as Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center. Responsibilities include designing optimized road and site grading models, handling survey data, providing VDC support to construction teams, documenting process improvements, delivering training, and participating in Mortenson’s Integrated Delivery Advancement Team (IDAT) community of practice. • Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes using appropriate technology platforms. • Design optimized road and site grading models, alignments, profiles, corridors, and grading groups in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Work with survey data and communicate designs to field teams via Trimble Business Center. • Utilize Mortenson BIM/VDC for modeling, cost estimation, 4D phase planning, site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, coordination, and digital fabrication. • Serve as the VDC point of contact for construction team members throughout all project phases. • Document and improve company process standards related to VDC work. • Assist in training team members on VDC processes. • Participate actively in Mortenson’s Integrated Delivery Advancement Team (IDAT) community of practice. • Conduct daily work planning.

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Integrated Construction Coordinator II to implement and oversee Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes throughout project phases. Strong communication skills are essential as the role interacts with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. Success requires flexibility, inventiveness, dedication, efficiency, high integrity, and confidentiality. Candidates must hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil or construction‑related fields and have at least four years of relevant experience. Required skills include proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or ArcGIS, as well as intermediate BIM/VDC training, strong detail orientation, basic knowledge of construction law, and solid Microsoft Office abilities. A positive attitude, strong customer service, excellent communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, leadership, a valid driver’s license, and openness to feedback are also expected. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in civil or construction‑related fields. • Minimum four years of relevant experience. • Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or ArcGIS. • Survey data knowledge (preferred) and GIS data management (a plus). • Completion of intermediate BIM/VDC software training. • Strong detail orientation and ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously. • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices. • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, project management, and web applications. • Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skills. • Excellent communication, teamwork, initiative, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities. • Openness to change based on diverse input and feedback. • Valid driver’s license.

The position offers a base salary ranging from $89,500 to $120,800, with higher rates for specific locations, and eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
