About the Role

The EHS role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and guidelines that meet local, national and international regulations, ensuring the company complies with all safety and environmental laws. You will conduct regular risk assessments, inspections of equipment, machinery and safety systems, and monitor work permits to control hazards. Training programs, safety inductions and ongoing communication will be delivered to employees, contractors and management. You will also investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, determine root causes and drive corrective actions while supporting environmental initiatives such as waste management and sustainability programmes. Regular EHS audits, record‑keeping and reporting to management and regulatory authorities complete the core responsibilities. • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with regulations. • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. • Perform inspections of equipment, machinery, safety systems, and monitor work permits. • Design and deliver EHS training programs and safety inductions for employees and contractors. • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses; determine root causes and drive corrective actions. • Support environmental initiatives such as waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability programs. • Conduct EHS audits, maintain comprehensive records, and prepare reports for management and regulators. • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety and environmental laws. • Work on‑site in Kolkata, West Bengal, with a weekly schedule of 48 hours.
