Senior Designer - Highways BIM (AutoCad/Microstation)

About the Role

The role involves designing road layouts, cross‑sections, signage, pavement markings and traffic signal plans, and extracting profiles, sections, grading and setting‑out data directly from Civil3D shortcuts. The candidate will manage Civil3D data shortcuts in ProjectWise and BIM360, create templates, and ensure compliance with CAD standards, line work, naming conventions and client styles while performing quality control, progress tracking and product delivery under the guidance of the CAD Supervisor. • Design road layouts, cross‑sections, signage, pavement markings, and traffic signal plans using AutoCAD/MicroStation. • Extract profiles, sections, grading and setting‑out data directly from Civil3D shortcuts. • Manage Civil3D data shortcuts within ProjectWise and BIM360 environments. • Create project templates and enforce CAD/Civil3D line work, naming conventions and client styles. • Apply AECOM Quality Assurance procedures, perform QC, track progress and schedule product delivery. • Collaborate with the CAD Supervisor and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design compliance.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and 5–9 years of CAD experience on roads, highways or major infrastructure projects using AutoCAD/MicroStation, with added advantage for Civil3D and 3D road modelling. Preference is given to candidates with global design exposure, highway BIM experience, strong written and spoken communication skills, and basic knowledge of CDE tools such as ProjectWise, BIM 360 and Bluebeam. • Hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 5–9 years of highway CAD experience. • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation; experience with Civil3D and 3D road modelling preferred. • Possess exposure to highway BIM and experience on international collaborative projects. • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English and use CDE tools such as ProjectWise, BIM 360 and Bluebeam.
