About the Role

The Road Mechanic role focuses on preventive maintenance and on‑site repairs of a diverse fleet, which includes aerial work platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil‑and‑gas equipment. Technicians work directly at customer locations to ensure equipment reliability while prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime. This position offers opportunities to develop skills for future service or operations management careers. • Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations. • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management. • Provide own mechanic tools of trade as needed. • Perform preventive maintenance and on‑site repairs to minimize equipment downtime. • Follow safety procedures to protect self and customers.

What You Bring

Successful candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with trade‑school training preferred. One to three years of experience maintaining diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment is strongly desired, along with a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record; a CDL may be required in some locations. Mechanics should be prepared to provide their own tools, possess solid knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, and remain flexible amid changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. The role involves physical tasks such as bending, lifting 50 lb or more, and working both indoors and outdoors.
