Planning Manager

About the Role

Collaborating with the planning function to ensure projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled and monitored, supporting project management delivery to achieve timely and profitable outcomes across medium‑complexity projects, portfolios and larger project sections. • Provide strategic leadership across planning delivery, assignments and business areas aligned to company objectives. • Support negotiations, governance and long‑term functional strategy with integrity and due diligence. • Develop inclusive, high‑performing teams through collaboration, knowledge sharing and strong client relationships. • Develop and manage integrated programmes reflecting logistics, site constraints, safety and sustainability. • Coordinate team activities, establish work plans and deadlines, and monitor productivity and progress. • Interface with clients and project teams, report progress and meet contractual obligations. • Embed sustainable design, procurement and net‑zero carbon outcomes across project delivery. • Produce programmes and sequence plans competently with minimal supervision. • Use planning software at an intermediate level to deliver schedule outputs tailored to audience and context. • Safety first – champion a safe, diverse and inclusive environment, ensuring wellbeing and that everyone goes home safe and well. • Client focus – own the quality of deliverables and strategic outcomes, building long‑term client relationships. • Create opportunity – foster continuous improvement and inspire people and teams to develop and excel.
