About the Role
The Structural Inspector is responsible for overseeing on‑site construction activities to ensure that all structural elements meet design and quality standards. This includes reviewing contractor documentation, witnessing material testing, and maintaining detailed records of inspections and progress. The role also requires coordination with other discipline inspectors and participation in technical meetings while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Inspect on‑site structural works such as concrete, steel, formwork, rebar, precast elements, and related civil infrastructure. • Monitor contractor activities for compliance with approved shop drawings, method statements, materials, and specifications. • Report non‑conformances, delays, or contract deviations to the Site Engineer or Resident Engineer. • Witness material testing and verify implementation of quality‑control procedures. • Maintain comprehensive site records, including daily inspections, progress updates, and photographic evidence. • Review contractor daily reports and assess adequacy of on‑site manpower and equipment. • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to resolve interface issues and ensure proper work integration. • Participate in technical and progress meetings as required. • Assist in reviewing method statements and inspection‑test plans from a site implementation perspective. • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
