About the Role

• Budget, scope, and schedule development, monitoring and adherence for tasks and projects managed. • Lead permitting efforts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) wetland/stream delineations, Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 permitting and Endangered Species Act (ESA) threatened and endangered species habitat assessments. • This individual will be responsible for selling environmental planning and permitting services. When feasible, this individual should look to sell all of TRC’s Sector Services, e.g., Environmental, Power, Infrastructure, Field Services, and Intelligent Grid Solutions (known as “OneTRC”). • Have a significant role in maintaining quality and profitability on TRC’s projects, as well as assisting with managing and developing the skillsets of Project Managers and other employees. • Lead and author National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements. • Lead solicitation requests working with technical teams, operations, and market directors. • Mentor and coach staff on technical delivery, quality, and project financials. • Attend technical conferences, showcase our services, enhance TRC’s brand, engage with clients, and represent OneTRC. • Lead state and local permitting efforts in the Southeast. • Maintain a billable utilization target of 75%.

What You Bring

• Strong business acumen and attributes, coupled with a commitment to TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion. • Masters of Science or Masters of Business Administration Degree preferred. • Successfully manage medium to large-scale, often multi-disciplinary projects and maintain productive working relationships with clients is required. • Possess strong verbal, written, presentation and excellent client management skills; demonstrated ability leading and managing complex projects; as well as being goal oriented, quality focused, and have demonstrated success with creating and fostering a team environment. • Proven track record with business development, business management and oversight of regional businesses. • Experience authoring and managing NEPA Environmental Assessment and/or Environmental Impact Statements. • Experience with DOE related projects. • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in biology or a related field (i.e., ecology, wildlife biology, aquatic biology, botany, zoology, environmental science, natural resources management). • The successful candidate must provide demonstrated experience being a primary author on natural resources reports for a variety of agencies and project types/sizes. • 15+ years of experience. • Local regulatory experience in the Southeast with USACE, USFWS, State Wildlife and Natural Resource Agencies, and Local Governments. • Experience with Energy Transition (Hydrogen, CCUS, Woody Biomass, etc.) projects. • Experience with performing and managing environmental permitting in Florida. • Experience managing cross disciplinary scientific and engineering teams and front-end project development projects. • 10 to 15 years of experience performing and managing the environmental planning, permitting, and licensing projects.
