About the Role
The role supports plant leadership by improving manufacturing processes and driving cost-saving initiatives. It also involves executing strategic plans in compliance with regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements to help meet business and financial goals. In this role you will design and optimize cell layouts and manufacturing flows to enhance safety, productivity, ergonomics, and efficiency, while maintaining standardized work elements and leading process innovation. You will provide safety leadership by identifying hazards, ensuring equipment meets specifications, enforcing safety standards, and training teams on safety practices. You will drive continuous improvement through cost‑out and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, managing metrics, visual controls, and accountability in process improvements. You will solve problems by conducting root‑cause and failure analyses and teaching critical thinking to improve cost, quality, and performance. You will support product development by participating in design reviews, ensuring manufacturability, and tracking PROLaunch project deliverables and metrics. You will lead cross‑functional projects, manage budgets and timelines, coordinate communication across teams and stakeholders, and drive change management using ADKAR techniques. What You Bring
The position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, three years of engineering experience (including internships), and experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment. A graduate degree is preferred, along with detailed knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as value stream mapping, one‑piece flow, 5S, standard work, and visual controls. Relocation assistance is available for candidates residing more than 50 miles from Nacogdoches, TX. • Require bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field) and three years of engineering experience • Preferred graduate degree and detailed knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques (value stream mapping, one‑piece flow, 5S, standard work, visual controls)
