About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports an affordable‑housing community by performing corrective, preventative, routine, emergency and cosmetic maintenance, and by handling the make‑ready process under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Daily duties include responding to resident requests, maintaining common areas, performing pool care, and ensuring compliance with safety and policy standards. • Attend the property daily and respond promptly to resident and management work orders for common areas, buildings, and units. • Perform corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance, including swimming‑pool care and chemical logging. • Conduct make‑ready tasks and assist with unit‑turn inspections and scheduling. • Maintain and clean exterior grounds, breezeways, and common areas each day. • Uphold Asset Living policies, safety standards, and OSHA hazard‑communication programs. • Keep the maintenance shop organized, stocked, and manage inventory of equipment and supplies. • Record service requests, preventative maintenance, EPA/OSHA compliance, and make‑ready status accurately. • Provide excellent customer service, monitor request turnaround, and enforce community policies. • Participate in on‑call emergency response and after‑hours duties as needed. • Maintain reliable transportation for emergency on‑call requirements.

What You Bring

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations. • Ability to lift, move, and operate tools and equipment, work in confined spaces, and handle loads up to 100 lb.
