About the Role

We are hiring Project Managers for our Environmental Project Management Team, reporting to a Senior Environmental Project Manager and delivering a wide range of environmentally focused projects for public‑ and private‑sector clients across the UK. In this role you will lead smaller projects, support senior project managers on larger programmes, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the ongoing development of the team’s strategy. • Develop project proposals, defining scope, resources, schedule and budget estimates. • Create and maintain project management documentation such as plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, schedules and stakeholder registers. • Monitor and control project schedules, staff hours, budgets and expenditures to ensure progress. • Ensure health and safety requirements are met for site visits and obtain internal approvals. • Manage contracts and administration, adhering to contractual and scope agreements. • Actively manage project changes and risks while maintaining governance and optimisation. • Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary environmental project teams and external suppliers. • Promote delivery of environmental betterment and net‑zero strategies. • Represent the Environment and Consents discipline with internal teams, clients and stakeholders.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, a genuine interest in sustainable development, strong communication and commercial skills, and be a member of a relevant professional institution or working towards chartership. • Demonstrate proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in environmental or sustainability sectors. • Exhibit strong commercial and contractual awareness with financial acumen and analytical thinking. • Communicate confidently in writing and orally to keep teams and stakeholders aligned. • Possess working knowledge of programme management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6. • Hold membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc) and pursue chartership.
