About the Role
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Transportation Asset Management Consultant will support HDR’s national geotechnical practice and help clients advance their asset management strategies. This role involves working on high‑impact infrastructure projects alongside multidisciplinary teams and contributing technical expertise to complex mobility challenges. • Plan and prepare geotechnical investigations and design activities that impact major company programs. • Organize, conduct, and coordinate geotechnical investigations for transportation and other projects. • Perform technical analyses, prepare reports, and coordinate recommendations with designers. • Act as technical specialist or project manager on local projects as needed. • Provide advisory consulting on asset management, conduct data analyses, and recommend operational changes. • Lead complex qualitative and quantitative analyses of operational and business management impacts. • Produce written reports and visual representations of findings, ensuring QA/QC. • Contribute statistical analysis, forecasting, and benchmarking of project data. • Achieve client satisfaction while meeting project budget parameters. • Lead client meetings, manage relationships, and mentor junior staff. • Participate in marketing efforts for internal and external clients. • Supervise professionals, technicians, and design teams as required.

What You Bring
• Master’s degree in a related field. • Experience with data analysis and visualization software such as Tableau and Power BI. • Proficiency in GeoStudio/Ensoft for slope stability, settlement, seepage, and deep foundation analysis. • Knowledge of advanced numerical modeling techniques and software (Bentley, PLAXIS, Itasca FLAC). • Experience with Bentley geotechnical data management and visualization tools (gINT, OpenGround, LeapFrog). • Bachelor’s degree. • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. • Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) for the position location. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, and CAD applications.
