About the Role

We provide cost management services from contract award through to project completion across multiple sectors, advising on certificates, cost control and reporting. The successful candidate will prepare contract documents, advise on contract administration, measure work valuations, produce financial reports, evaluate claims and drive improvements in systems and processes while supporting the net‑zero carbon transition. • Helps avoid millions of tonnes of CO₂ annually, supporting the UK net‑zero 2050 goal. • Safety first – ensuring staff go home safe and well. • Create opportunity – enabling people to excel. • Prepare contract documents, warranties, bonds and licences. • Advise on building‑contract administration. • Measure and value work, adjusting variations per contract terms. • Provide cost control and reporting throughout the contract. • Produce required financial reports for the client. • Identify costs linked to design changes, contract awards and construction activities. • Evaluate delay and additional‑cost claims from contractors and subcontractors. • Issue certificates of practical completion and negotiate final accounts. • Issue certificates for making good defects and final completion. • Deliver system and process improvements, driving transformational change. • Collaborate on net‑zero carbon transition, managing associated emissions. • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders. • Seek and implement improved working practices. • Manage and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Lead initiatives that add value, such as BIM implementation. • Champion an inclusive work environment. • Apply industry best practices.

What You Bring

• Two EPR reactors delivering 3,200 MW, enough for ~6 million homes. • Hold a degree in quantity surveying or cost management (or equivalent). • Possess sector‑specific knowledge and relevant technical qualifications. • Experience with various contract forms and strong contract‑administration expertise. • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and reporting skills. • Problem‑solving and analytical abilities for cost and procurement issues. • Knowledge of BIM techniques and applications. • Professional membership or progression towards MRICS/RICS. • Detailed understanding of JCT and NEC contracts. • Experience in CAPEX vs OPEX cost analysis. • Knowledge of value engineering, life‑cycle costing and contract law. • Understand sustainability, social value and carbon‑reduction issues.
