About the Role

The Press Brake Operator positions material according to blueprints and runs hydraulic press brake machines ranging from 230‑ton to 400‑ton capacity to shape steel components for transformers and voltage regulator tanks. The role includes setting up equipment, entering part data, performing first‑piece checks, making program adjustments, and ensuring finished parts meet dimensional specifications, while coordinating with a fellow operator to stage completed work. • Set up forming dies and punches on hydraulic press brake machines. • Enter part numbers into the computer terminal and develop programs for new parts. • Conduct first‑piece inspections and adjust the part program for material variations. • Position steel pieces against stops and bend them to required angles. • Verify finished components against engineering prints and adjust equipment as needed. • Collaborate with another operator to pallet completed parts.
