About the Role

• Manage overall financial health of projects, including subcontracts and suppliers • Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate estimates in the financial system • Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment • Create monthly owner billings and handle contract management, including contract buyouts • Oversee budget and select trade partners and suppliers • Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assigning jobs and supporting career development • Approve on‑site team timecards and give ongoing performance feedback • Serve as primary contact with owners and on‑site representatives, review agreements, and resolve site concerns • Manage change orders, decide submission timing, and secure customer or architect approval • Maintain schedule and budget through project completion, overseeing quality, risk, safety, compliance, and relationship building

What You Bring

The Project Manager I role requires six years of construction management experience and offers a base pay range of $113,500 to $170,300. The Project Manager II role requires seven years of experience on large projects ($20M+) and provides a base pay range of $132,100 to $198,200, with additional regional adjustments; both positions are eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, and the posting typically remains open for a minimum of five days.
