About the Role
The firm is hiring a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for a high‑profile technology client’s data centre construction portfolio. This hybrid role, based in Seattle three days per week, involves budgeting, forecasting, procurement advice, change control and presenting cost data to senior stakeholders. • Lead cost management across project lifecycle, from early budgeting to final account closeout. • Develop and present detailed cost plans, budgets and estimates aligned with scope. • Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and executive presentations. • Maintain benchmarking data, historical cost records and lessons learned. • Review design and contractor pricing, provide commercial input and negotiate contracts. • Advise on procurement strategies, bid analysis and contract administration. • Track contingencies, commitments and cost impacts across multiple packages. • Drive value engineering and design optimisation to identify cost‑saving opportunities. • Coordinate with project controls and scheduling teams to align forecasts with progress. • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices. • Contribute to improvement of internal cost management tools, templates and processes. • Ensure compliance with financial systems, client requirements and regulatory controls, including SOX where applicable. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors and internal teams.

What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field. • 6–10+ years progressive cost management experience. • Expertise in cost planning, budgeting, financial reporting and change management. • Strong knowledge of procurement strategies and commercial contract management. • Proficiency with industry‑standard cost management software. • Advanced analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills. • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation abilities. • Experience on large‑scale, mission‑critical projects (e.g., data centres) preferred. • Familiarity with MEP systems and RICS accreditation advantageous. • Ability to work in Seattle office three days per week.
