About the Role
The Technical Advisor – Static is a subject‑matter expert for static and packaged equipment. The role focuses on developing technical requirements, specifications, and services for mechanical assets such as pressure vessels, process columns, heat exchangers, storage tanks, spheres, boilers, and static packaged units. Key duties include preparing datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions, as well as evaluating technical bids and reviewing vendor documentation. The advisor coordinates engineering activities with vendors and multidisciplinary teams, providing guidance to designers and less‑experienced engineers. Additional responsibilities involve estimating man‑hours, developing master production plans, reporting progress, and implementing catch‑up strategies. The individual also represents the company in negotiations with clients and contractors. • Develop technical requirements, specifications, and services for static and packaged mechanical equipment. • Prepare datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, and evaluate technical bids. • Review vendor documents and coordinate engineering with vendors and multidisciplinary teams. • Provide technical guidance to designers and junior engineers. • Estimate man‑hours, create master production plans, report progress, and implement catch‑up plans. • Represent and negotiate with clients and contractors on behalf of the company.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least 15 years of progressive experience leading medium to large projects in the static and fired equipment sector. A solid working knowledge of current ASME, TEMA, API, and EN standards, together with familiarity with wind and seismic design codes, is required. Understanding of process flow and instrumentation diagrams (PFDs/PIDs) and prior experience on FPSO, offshore, and brown‑field projects are essential. Exposure to finite‑element analysis, nondestructive examination, testing, welding, heat‑treatment, painting, and insulation requirements is also expected. Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and people‑management skills, along with knowledge of IBR and NACE standards, are critical. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory, and the candidate should be recognised as a specialist in static equipment and static packages. Experience in other mechanical verticals is considered a plus. • Possess at least 15 years of experience leading medium to large static and fired equipment projects. • Demonstrate working knowledge of ASME, TEMA, API, EN standards and wind/seismic design codes. • Understand PFDs and PIDs; have FPSO, offshore, and brown‑field project experience. • Familiarity with FEA, NDE, testing, welding, heat‑treatment, painting, and insulation requirements. • Exhibit strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and people‑management capabilities. • Hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and be recognized as a specialist in static equipment and packages.
